On Wednesday MADDEN SMITH didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over 4.2 innings pitched. The effort marked the most strikeouts SMITH has had since back in March. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his third in a row with more than six strikeouts. For the year, he has an ERA of 3.41 over 26.7 innings pitched.

Looking ahead, SMITH and Crimson Cliffs are taking a road trip to square off against Pine View at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. SMITH has dominated as far as strikeouts are concerned (he's averaged 7.3 per game this season), but he's got his work cut out for him considering the Panthers have only allowed 3.85 per game this season.
