Liberty Christian Academy is 0-3 against Greenville Christian Academy since April of 2023 but things could change on Thursday. The Heat will host the Knights at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
While Liberty Christian Academy's victory against Epiphany wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Heat had just enough and edged out the Falcons 6-5.

Braedon Martin was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. He is becoming a predictor of Liberty Christian Academy's success: when he allows at most two hits the team is undefeated (and 2-6 when he doesn't). Martin was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Landon Houston, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Mason Jones also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Meanwhile, Greenville Christian Academy got themselves on the board against Wilson Christian Academy on Monday, but Wilson Christian Academy never followed suit. They came out on top against the Chargers by a score of 5-0. The game was the first time the Knights have beaten the Chargers on their field since May 14, 2016.
Like Liberty Christian Academy, Greenville Christian Academy also got a great game from a two-way player: Mason Brown. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Brown has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Brown wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ryder Brown, who went 1-for-3 with one run.
Greenville Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Liberty Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Liberty Christian Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Greenville Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 5.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Liberty Christian Academy couldn't quite get it done against Greenville Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 11-8.
