The Hug Hawks scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 81-46 win over North Valleys. Hug has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 22 points or more this season.
David Koul continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 17 rebounds. Koul is absolutely dominating the block category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Saili Aonga was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds.
Despite the loss, North Valleys still got an impressive performance from Kyrone Washington, who scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Washington has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Collins, who scored eight points along with four steals.
The win was the fourth in a row for Hug, bringing their record for this year to 9-9. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.8 points per game. As for North Valleys, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hug will square off against South Tahoe at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. South Tahoe will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. As for North Valleys, they will head out on the road to challenge Sparks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Sparks is ranked 97th, while North Valleys is ranked 72nd).
