The biggest upset of the week belonged to Swartz Creek, who took down 50th ranked Swartz Creek, 55-28.
Fenton extended the longest winning streak in Flint Metro this week by beating the Dragons, 55-28. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
Swartz Creek's dynamic duo of Jaylen Schoenfield and Max Cummings proved tough for Fenton to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Schoenfield threw for 441 yards and four touchdowns and Cummings had 208 yards receiving. Jacob Littles helped Swartz Creek's passing attack out by catching 10 balls for 103 yards.
Mitch Juhl was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 12 carries, he ran for 79 yards as Linden fell to Jeff Setzke's team. Shaye Brown also contributed to the rushing game with 12 yards on the ground.
Swartz Creek's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Dragons feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Schoenfield has thrown for 2438 yards and 29 touchdowns this season, while Cummings has 53 catches for 1111 yards. James Richards leads the league in rushing with 526 yards.
The top two teams in Flint Metro will face off this week when first place Swartz Creek takes on second place Linden. The Dragons fell to the Tigers last week, while the Eagles topped Lapeer East.
There should be lots of points scored when Swartz Creek and Linden face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Dragons comes in having scored 291 this season, while Dennis Hopkins' team has scored 319. Swartz Creek scored 28 points last week as it lost to Fenton.
Holly was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from seventh to fifth in the league. The Bronchos beat Brandon 35-27 earlier in the week.
