The Outreach Christian Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Heartland Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 77-12, which was the final score in Outreach Christian's tilt against Center Place back in November. Outreach Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-10.
Meanwhile, Heartland came tearing into Tuesday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 72-31 win over Overland Christian at home. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-18.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Heartland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zach Stone, who scored 27 points. Jayce Maiden was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with 9 rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Outreach Christian and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Heartland, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
