Meanwhile, Kellis was beaten by Centennial 72-36 on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Kellis can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 211th, while Centennial is ranked 70th).
Peoria's victory bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Kellis, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.
Peoria strolled past Kellis in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 by a score of 73-56. The rematch might be a little tougher for Peoria since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
