Madison-Grant's tournament run continued when they took on Elwood on Thursday. The Argylls put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 20-7 win. The victory continues a trend for the Argylls in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won seven in a row.
McKenna Craig looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Madison-Grant got a massive performance out of Cayleigh Stitt, who went 2-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one double. Those five RBI gave Stitt a new career-high. Johnna Hiatt was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Madison-Grant was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .516. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .387 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Pendleton Heights, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Liberty Christian an 11-0 shutout on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Arabians considering their one-run performance the game before.
Cassie Hayes made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Hayes was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kaylee Smith, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That double was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Erin Davis, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs.
Madison-Grant's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Pendleton Heights, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-4 record.
