The Donna Klein Jewish Academy Eagles waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with four straight wins but they left with five. They came out on top against Grandview Prep by a score of 67-60. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
It was another big night for Mia Meldung, who dropped a double-double on 38 points and 20 rebounds. That's the first time this season that she pulled down eight or more rebounds. Sadye Eichman was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds.
Donna Klein Jewish Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Grandview Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
Donna Klein Jewish Academy will head out on the road to take on David Posnack Jewish Day at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully David Posnack Jewish Day focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Wednesday. As for Grandview Prep, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Avant Garde Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
