After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Indianapolis Bishop Chatard, the Rushville Lions were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged Whiteland out 54-51. This was payback for Rushville, who suffered a 60-50 defeat the last time these two teams met.
It was another big night for Leonie Boyer, who scored 21 points. The matchup was her third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylee Herbert, who scored 4 points.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sukhman Bains, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Sophia Dyer, who scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds.
Rushville is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. As for Whiteland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
