The Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] Spartans will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Princeville Princes at 8:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one:  the two teams posted some lofty  point totals in their previous games.
 Last Thursday, Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Sherrard an easy  78-56 victory. While losing is never fun, Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings  (they are ranked 600th, while Sherrard is ranked 92nd).
  Garrett Vincent put forth a good effort for the losing side as  he  scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was  Ashtin Staley, who  scored ten points.
 Meanwhile, Princeville came tearing into  Tuesday's  game with four straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Midwest Central 61-30 at home.
 Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge]'s defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Princeville, they pushed their record up to 10-2 with that  victory, which was their fourth straight  at home.
 Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] was taken down by Princeville 67-27 in their previous meeting  back in February. Can Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
