In what's become a running theme this season, the Pleasant Grove Eagles gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They blew past Cosumnes Oaks 5-1. It was an even better day for Jalen Scott as he scored three goals for his team.
Julian Sevilla, who's played more minutes than anyone else on the Pleasant Grove squad sat out for Monday's game. With Sevilla sidelined, Donovan Avila got Avila first action of the season. Avila made the most of the opportunity, putting up an assist. A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.
Pleasant Grove's victory bumped their record up to 12-4-3. As for Cosumnes Oaks, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12-4 record this season.
Pleasant Grove will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Enochs at 6:00 p.m. Cosumnes Oaks does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
