The Bladensburg Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They were dealt a 41-13 loss at the hands of Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South. If Bladensburg hoped to take revenge for the 55-10 loss against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Jaedyn Mcdaniel was her usual excellent self, scoring 14 points for Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South. Another player making a difference was Ava Blue, who scored nine points.
Bladensburg bumped their record down to 1-6 with that defeat, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 13.3 points per game. As for Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bladensburg will square off against Bowie at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Bowie is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games. As for Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South, they will head out on the road to challenge College Park Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. College Park Academy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
