The Arickaree Bison put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Deer Trail 80-14 at home. The result was nothing new for Arickaree, who have now won five games by 25 points or more so far this season.
Arickaree's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from JAKE KING, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. The matchup was KING's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of DILLON NOLETUBBY, who scored 17 points along with five steals.
Arickaree's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.1 points per game. As for Deer Trail, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
Arickaree won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Fleming at 5:30 p.m. on January 5th. Fleming will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while Arickaree is ranked 65th). Deer Trail won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Wiley at 2:00 p.m. on January 5th. Hopefully Wiley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 back in December of 2023.
