The Henderson Collegiate Pride pushed their score all the way to 60 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They suffered a rough 82-60 loss at the hands of Voyager. While losing is never fun, Henderson Collegiate can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 523rd, while Voyager is ranked 259th).
Dwight Anderson was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds for Voyager. David McMillon was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six assists.
Henderson Collegiate has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season. As for Voyager, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 18-8.
Henderson Collegiate will head out on the road to square off against Oxford Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Voyager, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Eno River at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
