The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Heard County has ten straight wins, East Laurens has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Meanwhile, East Laurens played a tough matchup last Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Northeast, falling 29-8. Even if they lost, East Laurens' defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Lagen Mack, Ja'Bryan Bigham, and Dianco Murray, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Friday's contest might be decided in the trenches. Heard County has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 196.5 rushing yards per game.
