Softball Recap: North Point Starts Season with Win Against Patuxent

North Point had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 10-5 victory over the Patuxent Panthers on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

North Point's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Lillian Murdock, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Another was Natalie Gilmore, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Coming up, North Point will challenge Lackey at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give North Point their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for Patuxent, they will host La Plata at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. This will also be La Plata's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
