The Amesbury Redhawks lost against the Triton Regional Vikings back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Amesbury suffered a tough 52-28 defeat at the hands of Triton Regional.
Amesbury lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Celia Tavares, who scored 11 points. Izzy Levasseur was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Amesbury's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Triton Regional, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-0.
Amesbury won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Beverly at 6:00 p.m. on December 20th. Triton Regional will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Newburyport at 5:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024.
