The West Blocton Tigers fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They strolled past Dallas County with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 35-16. That result was just more of the same for these two, as West Blocton also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.
West Blocton's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Dallas County, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Blocton will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Montgomery Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. Montgomery Catholic knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight games -- so hopefully West Blocton likes a good challenge. As for Dallas County, they will head out on the road to face off against Southside at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Southside's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Dallas County has been banged up by eight consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
