Valley View has gone 8-2 against Paloma Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wildcats at 3:15 p.m. Valley View's pitching crew has only allowed 1.9 runs per game this season, so Paloma Valley's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Valley View is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Orange Vista just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Coyotes by a score of 10-9.

Alyssa Torres made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Miranda Maese, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Paloma Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Hemet 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wildcats have posted since March 18th.

Paloma Valley let Meghan Bradley and Kayla McGee run wild. Bradley scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances, while McGee scored a run while going 2-for-2. What's more, McGee posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ashlynn Ferguson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Paloma Valley's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 10-7. As for Valley View, their loss dropped their record down to 14-3.

Valley View took their victory against Paloma Valley in their previous matchup back in April of 2022 by a conclusive 14-3 score. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
