North Daviess had won four straight on the road, but on Friday they bumped up to 8-0 to make it five. They took down the North Knox Warriors 36-20. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since October 9, 2020, but that streak is no more.

Keaton Graber continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 319 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.3 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 88 yards and one score. Those four passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Cambell Wittmer also helped out as he racked up 105 receiving yards.
North Daviess' run defense was locked in: North Knox could only muster 2.6 yards per carry. While two picked up at least four total tackles, Wittmer stood above the rest. He picked up 105 receiving yards and one TD. North Daviess' ground attack was stronger, having averaged 4.3.
North Daviess didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Skye Knepp, John (Bubba) Neideffer, and Wittmer picked up one apiece. Wittmer got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
As for North Knox, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since October 9, 2020, but that streak is no more.
North Knox lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Tyler Clark, who picked up 167 receiving yards and one score. He showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 55 yards.
Coming up, North Daviess will challenge Springs Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Blackhawks' defense has only allowed 8.6 points per game this season, so the Cougars' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for North Knox, they will take on Paoli at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will need to watch out since the Rams have now posted at least 31 points in their last six games.
