The biggest upset of the week belonged to Valley View, who took down 98th ranked Scranton Prep, 35-21.
Jordan McCloe and Joe Devine provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Abington Heights. The connection was good for 80 yards, the longest such play in Lackawanna 1 this season.
Devine was the best wideout in the league this week as West Scranton lost to the Comets. Devine racked up one reception for 80 yards. Lou Dibileo helped West Scranton's passing attack out by catching one ball for 14 yards.
Joe Santiago was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 206 yards on 31 carries as Delaware Valley fell to Abington Heights. Bryan Schor also contributed to the rushing game with 17 yards on the ground.
Dante Pasqualichio put up the best numbers through the air as Joe Repshis' team defeated West Scranton. He finished with nine completions for 174 yards and two touchdowns. Pasqualichio's favorite target this week was Jc Show, who caught four passes for 72 yards.
6-foot-1 quarterback Schor of the Warriors is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1674. He has also thrown 18 touchdowns. On the ground, Wallenpaupack Area's John Jones has rushed for 986 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Karlon Quiller. The Scranton star has 27 catches for 644 yards.
Jake McCarthy of the Scranton is only 26 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. McCarthy has rushed for 974 yards on 115 carries so far this year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Cavaliers/Classics take on Delaware Valley. As it stands, Scranton Prep is in fifth, while Keith Olsommer's team is in second.
The Cougars were the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in the league. Valley View beat Nick Donato's team 35-21 earlier in the week.
