After losing to the Hatton Hornets the last time they met, the Elkmont Red Devils decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Elkmont came out on top against the Hornets by a score of 56-48 on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Elkmont.
Thea Hamlin continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. It was the first time this season that she pulled down eight or more rebounds. Savannah Williams was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five steals and two blocks.
Elkmont's win bumped their record up to 13-15. As for Hatton, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-12.
Elkmont will head out on the road to face off against the Colts at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Clements is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games. As for Hatton, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m.
