Fort Zumwalt East can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They took down Parkway South 50-33. For Fort Zumwalt East, this counts as revenge for the 76-62 loss the Patriots walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
When it comes to explaining why Parkway South lost, one person who can't be blamed is Eddie Ahearn. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Ahearn is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ryan Shanfeld, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Fort Zumwalt East's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Parkway South, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-10.
Fort Zumwalt East will head out on the road to face off against the Bluejays at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Missouri (Washington is ranked 288th, while the are ranked 278th). As for Parkway South, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd.
