After a string of five wins, Westover's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 66-57 to the Pine Forest Trojans. The Wolverines were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Trojans earlier this season, when they won 55-52.

Westover's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Pine Forest, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-4.

Westover will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Overhills at 8:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Pine Forest also won't see the court for a while: their next contest is against E.E. Smith at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
