The Horizon Science Academy Dragons lost against the St. John Fighting Herald back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Horizon Science Academy was beaten by St. John 62-30.
Leading St. John to victory were alyssa cevera and Mickey Zheng. cevera scored 22 points along with seven rebounds and four steals, while Zheng dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 assists. gracie disalvatore was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Horizon Science Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for St. John, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Horizon Science Academy will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Open Door Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 15th. St. John won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Lordstown at 5:30 p.m. on January 11th. Lordstown is on a five-game streak of home losses, St. John a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
