Volleyball Recap: Beaumont Snags Seventh Win in Last Eight Games

Cajon came into Tuesday's game looking for another win against Beaumont, but Leandro Torres wouldn't allow it. The Beaumont Cougars sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Cajon Cowboys on Tuesday thanks in part to Torres, who had 12 digs and two aces. That's the most aces he has posted over his last four matchups.

Beaumont was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 25-16, 21-25, 20-25, 25-21, 15-12.

Beaumont has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. Cajon moved to 9-6 with that loss, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

Beaumont and Cajon should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Beaumont will challenge Yucaipa at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday up 289 places (63 vs. 352). Beaumont will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Similarly, Cajon (ranked 130th) will meet Redlands East Valley (ranked 507th) at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
