Plymouth is 3-0 against the Zebras since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Plymouth Pilgrims/Rockies will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rochester Zebras at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Plymouth's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. The game between them and Westview wasn't particularly close, with Plymouth falling 53-39. Plymouth has struggled against the Warriors recently, as their matchup on Saturday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Max Lewandowski put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 13 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Coby Walters, who scored four points.
Meanwhile, Rochester unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of Lewis Cass by a score of 46-44.
Tanner Reinartz put forth a good effort for the losing side as he almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Baugher, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Plymouth dropped their record down to 6-12 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Rochester, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.
Tuesday's contest is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: Plymouth have been dynamite from deep this season, having made 46.6% of their threes per game. However, it's not like Rochester struggles in that department as they've made 44.3% of their threes this season. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Everything went Plymouth's way against the Zebras in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 as the Pilgrims/Rockies made off with a 68-47 win. Does Plymouth have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Zebras turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
