Creekview is 0-4 against Wakeland since March of 2023 but things could change on Tuesday. The Creekview Mustangs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wakeland Wolverines at 6:45 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Creekview lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Turner, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's match. Creekview's pitchers stepped up to hand Turner a 14-0 shutout on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

Kelis Lee made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-low in walks (zero). She was even better at the plate, firing off three triples, three runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in hits.
In other batting news, Kaelani Rogers was a standout: she scored three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was MacKenzie Martin, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, Wakeland had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They blew past the Scots 13-1. The result was nothing new for the Wolverines, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.
Jordan Mcnees looked comfortable as she struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Claire Schreiner, who fired off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-3. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Maggie Drake was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
Wakeland was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .520. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .375 or higher in five consecutive contests.
Wakeland pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Creekview, their victory bumped their record up to 13-9.
Creekview couldn't quite get it done against Wakeland in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 10-7. Will Creekview have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other softball content.
