Meanwhile, Boys Latin made easy work of St. John's Catholic Prep  on Friday and carried off  a  34-8 victory. That 26 point margin sets a new team best for the Lakers this season.
 Boys Latin found their leader in sophomore  Alonzo Wallace, who rushed for 112 yards and two  touchdowns on only 11 carries. Wallace is becoming a predictor of the Lakers' success: when he posts  at  least 80  rushing yards the team is undefeated (and 3-4 when he doesn't).
 Boys Latin's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for St. Paul's, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.
 St. Paul's didn't have too much breathing room in their  matchup against Boys Latin  in their previous meeting  back in November of 2024, but they still walked away with  a  13-7 win.
