The Flathead Valley HomeSchool Crusaders's game two weeks ago was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past North Idaho Christian 47-45. This was payback for Flathead Valley HomeSchool, who suffered a 53-28 defeat the last time these two teams met.
North Idaho Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Danica Kelly, who scored 16 points along with seven assists and six steals. Kelly is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Symone Pilgrim, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Flathead Valley HomeSchool now has a winning record of 3-2. As for North Idaho Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 18-2.
Flathead Valley HomeSchool does not have any more games scheduled as of now. North Idaho Christian will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Christian Center at 6:00 p.m.
