It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Pittsburg ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top against the West Pioneers by a score of 53-46. The win was familiar territory for the Dragons who have now won three games in a row.

West lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Caleb Maholmes, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 16 boards. Those 16 rebounds gave Maholmes a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Treg Hardeman, who posted 12 points.

The victory got Pittsburg back to even at 5-5. As for West, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-8.

Pittsburg has already played their next contest, a 75-48 loss against Branson on the 25th. As for West, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 65-28 defeat against Joplin on the 25th.
