Brock Benson Turns in Season-Best Effort
North Judson-San Pierre was led to victory by Brock Benson, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Benson rushed for 208 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (113.6) per game. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in August of 2023.
If history really does repeat itself, Benson might just drop another big game when he faces off against Caston on Friday. Back in August of 2023 (the last time Benson saw the Comets), he rushed for 208 yards and four touchdowns on only 14 carries.

On Friday, Pioneer got the W thanks in part to Micah Rans playing the best football he has all season. Rans rushed for 177 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries, and also threw for 91 yards and a touchdown on only seven passes. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (109.9). Those 177 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
The victory (which was Pioneer's fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-1. Rans and Pioneer will square off against Triton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Lake Musall Has Career Rushing Day
North Miami was led to victory by Lake Musall, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Musall rushed for 169 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 93-yard run.
North Miami pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Musall and North Miami will head out to take on Culver Community at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Noah Vanmeter's Big Game Leads Pioneer over Culver Community
The second Pioneer player making an appearance here is Noah Vanmeter, and for good reason. He rushed for 45 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 57 receiving yards and a touchdown. He got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 55 yards.
This season, Vanmeter has run in 8 touchdowns while averaging 94.7 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 18.86 rushing yards per game.

Meredith Came Up Big in North Miami's 63-20 Victory
Another North Miami player making an appearance on this list is Ryan Meredith. He rushed for 88 yards and two touchdowns. He didn't just play on offense: he also made four total tackles and defended a pass in addition to snagging an interception.
This year, Meredith has averaged 11.1 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging two receiving yards per game.
