After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lytle, the Hondo Owls were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They strolled past Natalia with points to spare, taking the game 49-33. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Hondo also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Despite the defeat, Natalia saw an underclassman step up: Leyla Saenz scored 18 points along with five steals.
Hondo has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season. As for Natalia, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-21.
Hondo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Natalia, they will head out on the road to face off against Poth at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Poth will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Natalia surely won't give up without a fight.
