The Howard Huskies lost against the Westside Seminoles two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Howard fell 52-39 to Westside. While losing is never fun, Howard can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 387th, while Westside is ranked 179th).
Westside's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chauncey Williams, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 17 rebounds. Williams hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for eight straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcus Hood, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.
Howard has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season. As for Westside, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-8.
Howard does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Westside also has no future games currently scheduled.
