The Spencer County Bears will be playing at home against the North Bullitt Eagles at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. Both teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
 Having struggled with four  losses in a row, Spencer County finally turned things around against Shelby County  on Thursday. Spencer County came out on top against Shelby County by a score of  12-2 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Spencer County considering their two-run performance the  match before.
  Riley Booth spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two  runs (both of which were unearned)  on four hits. It was the first time this season that  she  pitched five or more  innings.
 At the plate,  Brooklyn Hunt was  incredible,  scoring three  runs and  stealing three bases while going 1-for-3.  Lilly Long was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while going 3-for-4.
 Meanwhile, North Bullitt put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season  on Thursday. They put the hurt on Christian Educational Consortium with a sharp  13-3 victory. That's two games straight that North Bullitt has won by  exactly ten  runs.
 North Bullitt also let their pitcher toss all six innings played and she was also dialed-in:  Amree Hammons gave up only one earned  (and two unearned) runs on five hits and racked up ten Ks. Hammons has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in eight consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Alia Pearce was a standout: she scored three  runs and  stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Bella Markwell, who  scored four  runs and  stole three bases while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.
 Spencer County's win bumped their record up to 7-9. As for North Bullitt, they pushed their record up to 8-12 with that  victory, which was their fourth straight  at home.
