The Jefferson Saints lost against the Denver Christian Thunder back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Jefferson was dealt a 37-6 defeat at the hands of Denver Christian. Jefferson has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Denver Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nathan Buehrer led the charge by throwing for 201 yards and five touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Pereira, who gained 124 total yards and a touchdown.
Another reason for the win was Denver Christian's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for nine sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Joseph Spallone and Pereira who racked up five sacks between them.
Jefferson has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for Denver Christian, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.
Jefferson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Denver Christian also has no future games currently scheduled.
