The Turner County Titans can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 36-15 margin over Atkinson County. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Turner County's seven-point performance the match before.
Turner County can attribute much of their success to Carlton Brannon, who threw for 305 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.9 yards per attempt. Ke'arrin Dawsey also helped out with an impressive 106 receiving yards.
Turner County's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Atkinson County, their loss was their eighth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-10.
Turner County will head out on the road to face off against Portal at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Portal is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games. Atkinson County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
