The Norfolk Catholic Knights won the last time they faced the O'Neill Eagles, and things went their way on Thursday too. Norfolk Catholic came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 59-49.
Norfolk Catholic was led to victory by Mallory Wolf and Avery Yosten. Wolf scored 11 points, while Yosten scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wolf has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Eva Hartzell, who scored ten points.
Despite the loss, O'Neill saw an underclassman step up: Hannah Hilker scored 23 points. Another player making a difference was Bergyn Classen, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.
Norfolk Catholic has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for O'Neill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-13.
Norfolk Catholic's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Trojans at 10:00 a.m. on February 3rd. Cedar Catholic is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games. As for O'Neill, they will head out on the road to challenge the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
