The Troy Trojans will be playing at home against the Piqua Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Troy is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
Troy pushed their score all the way to 55 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 59-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bellefontaine.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Piqua ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top against Greenville by a score of 47-40. The win was just what Piqua needed coming off of a 58-38 defeat in their prior contest.
Troy has not been sharp recently as the team has lost ten of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season. As for Piqua, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-16.
Troy couldn't quite finish off Piqua in their previous meeting back in January and fell 50-47. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Piqua's Mickey Anderson, who scored 22 points along with six steals. Now that Troy knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
