Luther came tearing into Friday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Sparta Spartans 64-37. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th, while the Spartans are ranked 282nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sparta lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Lily Seifert, who went 6 for 11 on her way to 15 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave Seifert a new career-high in points. Tiana Leis was another key player, putting up nine points.

Luther's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Sparta, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Luther will head out to challenge Black River Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Luther has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 194 points over their last three games. As for Sparta, they will welcome La Crosse Logan at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Sparta is facing La Crosse Logan at the right time seeing as La Crosse Logan is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
