Kanab is a perfect 4-0 against Water Canyon since May of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Cowboys will welcome the Wildcats at 3:30 p.m. Kanab will be strutting in after a win while Water Canyon will be coming in after a loss.
Last Thursday, Kanab made easy work of Piute and carried off a 13-3 victory. The Cowboys haven't had any issues with the Thunderbirds recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
JayCee Lathim looked comfortable as she tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.

On the hitting side, Taylor Janes was incredible, firing off three triples, three stolen bases, and four runs while going 3-for-5. Those three triples gave her a new career-high. SaDar Swapp was another key player, earning one RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Kanab kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.2 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 9.4.
Meanwhile, Water Canyon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 35th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 24-2 to Beaver.
Sandra Jessop was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with four stolen bases and two runs. Those runs were her first of the season.
Kanab's victory bumped their record up to 4-13. As for Water Canyon, their loss dropped their record down to 0-16.
Water Canyon's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Kanab hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .323. It's a different story for Water Canyon, though, as they've only averaged .215. Will they be able to contain Kanab's hitters?
Everything went Kanab's way against Water Canyon when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Kanab made off with a 19-0 win. Do the Cowboys have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
