The Immanuel Christian Warriors pushed their score all the way to 60 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They had to suffer through a rough 90-60 loss at the hands of St. Michael the Archangel. Even though they lost, Immanuel Christian's still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.7 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Despite the loss, Immanuel Christian still got an impressive performance from Cameron Blanding, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 14 rebounds. Those 14 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Maden Ponzar, who scored six points.
This is the second loss in a row for Immanuel Christian and nudges their season record down to 3-4. As for St. Michael the Archangel, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.
Immanuel Christian won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against King Abdullah Academy at 10:30 a.m. on December 16th. King Abdullah Academy is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. St. Michael the Archangel will be home for the holidays to greet Grace Christian School at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Grace Christian School knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully St. Michael the Archangel likes a good challenge.
