The Nickerson Panthers will head out on the road to challenge the Pratt Greenbacks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Nickerson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, Nickerson was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 53-49 to Kingman. Nickerson has not had much luck with Kingman recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Nickerson got a solid performance out of Alex King, who scored 14 points. Garrett Crossman was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Pratt has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 46-35 to Hesston on Tuesday.
Nickerson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Pratt, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-3.
Nickerson was taken down by Pratt 84-55 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Nickerson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
