Volleyball Recap: Fairfield Extends Winning Streak to Two

If Clinton-Massie wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Fairfield, they should've done a better job of containing Alyssa Bales. The Lions won by a set and slipped past the Falcons 3-2 with plenty of help from Bales, who had 26 digs. She has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Fairfield had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 14-25, 26-24, 25-21, 15-11.

Fairfield has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Fairfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against McClain on the 20th. Clinton-Massie has also already played their next contest (against New Richmond), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
