Harvey/Fessenden-Bowdon had trouble last Friday, and unfortunately for them, their opponent this week is a big step up in difficulty. They will challenge Hillsboro/Central Valley on the road on Saturday. Harvey/Fessenden-Bowdon will really need to gear up for this challenge, as Hillsboro/Central Valley will be their toughest opponent yet.
If Harvey/Fessenden-Bowdon were riding high off their 30-8 takedown of Westhope/Newburg/Glenburn two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Harvey/Fessenden-Bowdon were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap, as they fell 8-12 to Rugby. Harvey/Fessenden-Bowdon's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Meanwhile, Hillsboro/Central Valley might be getting used to good results now that the squad has eight wins in a row. They took the game and then some with a 47-0 win over Oak Grove Lutheran. The lopsided score is just par for the course this season for Hillsboro/Central Valley, who can brag about seven blowout wins.
Hillsboro/Central Valley's victory lifted them to 8-0 while Harvey/Fessenden-Bowdon's defeat dropped them down to 4-4. We'll find out if Hillsboro/Central Valley can add another positive mark to their record or if Harvey/Fessenden-Bowdon can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Hillsboro/Central Valley's step.
