After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four matchups, Covenant Academy finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They lost 12-0 to the Taylor County Vikings. The Rams' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Covenant Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Asa Wood, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Grant Reidl also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Covenant Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Taylor County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season.

Covenant Academy will face off against Central Georgia Arts at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Taylor County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Early County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bobcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.95 runs per game on average), something the Vikings will no doubt try to take advantage of.
