After losing to the Frederick Golden Eagles the last time they met, the Erie Tigers decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Erie came out on top against Frederick by a score of 49-40 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Erie.
Erie found their leader in underclassman Juliet Slater, who scored 17 points along with six steals. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for her. Maddie Hartel was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Erie's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Frederick, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.
Erie will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Fossil Ridge at 12:30 p.m. on January 6, 2024.
