Softball Recap: Friday's Win Is San Juan's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

San Juan's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They blew past the Rowland Hall Winged Lions 17-2. The result was nothing new for the Broncos, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

Colee Crofts and Morgann Mcpherson did most of the damage at the plate: Crofts went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Mcpherson went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave Crofts a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Miley Harrison, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: San Juan kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rowland Hall only managed four hits.

San Juan has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-14 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Rowland Hall, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-13.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: San Juan beat the Winged Lions by a score of 16-0 later that day.
