The Stony Point Tigers were the 45-21 winner over the Round Rock Westwood Warriors when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Stony Point was dealt a 49-20 loss at the hands of Round Rock Westwood on Friday.
Demani Stewart was the offensive standout of the contest as he rushed for 125 yards and four touchdowns. Stewart is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last eight games he's played. Another player making a difference was Owen Norrell, who threw for 196 yards and two touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes.
Stony Point's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Round Rock Westwood, their win was their fifth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 6-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stony Point will take on McNeil at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Round Rock Westwood, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Manor at 7:00 p.m.
