Arlington has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against The Lucas Cubs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, everything went Arlington's way against Van Buren as Arlington made off with a 28-6 win.
Lucas fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They blew past Fort Loramie 34-7 at home.
Lucas can attribute much of their success to Graysen Jackson, who rushed for 94 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries, and Logan Toms, who rushed for 143 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. Toms' longest rush was for an incredible 70 yards.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 6-3.
Arlington beat Lucas 29-21 when the teams last played back in October of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Arlington since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
